Most Physicists agree the world was created through sound. Sounds have been used to improved physical and emotional health for centuries. People have used drumming, chanting and singing to heal throughout time.
The first sounds we connect with are in utero (around 16 weeks). We hear our Mother's heartbeat, the rhythm of her breath, her bodily functions and in time the sounds of conversation.
We know how our bodies feel and respond to the vibrations of external sound: think of the last time you heard a toe-tapping song, a cat purring or the sound of a loved one's voice.
We also know the body has trillions of cells. Some believe that every experience we've ever gone through is hidden within the cells of the body. And there are ways to help the body release these negative emotions whether known or unknown. When the mind and body is out of balance we find it difficult to be in harmony with life. When we are in a positive mental state, the body has a natural ability to heal itself.
In this workshop you will learn to connect with the body and your spirit through sound. We will unearth and explore healing sounds based on an ancient techniques for balancing & harmonizing the body. Its like taking a tuning folk inside the body to realign your organs.
Our lifestyles create stress within us which manifests itself as dis-ease, general un-wellness, shifts in our healing in ways we may be unaware of. This workshop will help you to release the stressors in your body (known or unknown) and help you to move forward with balance.
These sounds are introduced using Meditation practices and a Yoga sequence.
